Arista Community Hospice provides an annual celebration to honor and remember those we have served and cared for with our hospice services. Family and friends of patients who have died are invited to a Celebration of Life where loved one’s names are read and families have an opportunity to say a few words about the importance of the person in their life. Each family member can light a candle in remembrance and take home a small token as a reminder of the love they share. Music, readings and a short message help to focus on positive memories and honor their loved one in a very personal way. Staff and volunteers participate as well in the celebration in order to connect with family members and as a way of honoring those they have served and remember.
“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.”
~William W. Purkey
